How do you ask the Archivist Notary of the Barcelona Notarial Archive for a copy?
You can ask personally by coming to the College, but there are also other ways.
Thus, you can go to any notary in Spain, where the notary in question can identify you personally and send your request on with a Recognised Electronic Notarial Signature (FEREN) to our Archivist Notary, so that your request can be attended to immediately.
It is also possible to send the request by letter on paper with a legitimised notarial signature (art. 230 NR) for which you again need to go to a notary. This system has been largely replaced today by the immediate request with the electronic signature of the notary you visit, although we also attend to written requests.
